Trail building – Wed 3:30-7:30 & Sat 8:30-12:30

Join us to build a new singletrack trail in the Fight Trail area! Our work sessions this week will be Wednesday 3:30 – 7:30 and Saturday 8:30 – 12:30.
The alignment is cleared and we’ll be starting with the ground work this week, including grubbing organics, moving rocks and relocating dirt. Bring sturdy shoes, work gloves and water. We have LOTS of tools, but if you have sturdy trail tools (mattocks, pulaskis, shovels) please bring them.
Meet at the cul-de-sac at the very end of Alabaster Way in the Governor’s Brook subdivision in Spryfield (access from Drysdale Road). You don’t need to commit to the full session – join us when you can for as long as you can. If you arrive late, follow the BLUE flags to find us.
A generous grant from MEC has allowed us to hire TrailFlow Outdoor Adventures to lead the construction of this trail, but we need volunteers to stretch the contract funds as far as possible. Thanks MEC and thanks volunteers!
This trail is part of the McIntosh Run Trail System, an approved network of singletrack trails for non-motorized recreation on public land between Spryfield and Herring Cove.

Happy trails!
