Every sponsorship amount is a significant contribution that helps build and maintain trails and protect the watershed. Funds often go toward buying supplies and paying contractors and crews to assist with trail building and maintenance. They are also used for water sampling, community outreach and education, and other activities that support MRWA’s mission to protect the watershed. Your sponsorship is indispensable for leveraging government grants, which often require matching funds. Tiers of sponsorship allow you and your business to choose the level that is appropriate for you.
We think your sponsorship is about more than trails: it’s an investment in appreciating and protecting our local species and wildlands, as well as building a healthy outdoor-oriented community, an amenity for Haligonians, and in growing a regional outdoor-recreation economy. Trails are a transformational way of developing appreciation and stewardship of our greenspaces and wildlands.

Special sponsorship opportunities:
- Trail Sponsorships put your brand on the signs for an existing trail. Trail sponsorships are often secured through an online auction, held every couple years, but we sometimes have trails available for sponsorship outside of auction season. Please contact us to receive more information.
- Construction Sponsors Gold level sponsors who wish to contribute to a particular project (such as building a particular trail) should contact us to discuss opportunities.
