MRWA volunteers work on the trails every week until the snow accumulates! Everyone is welcome to join the trail work sessions that are organized by our experienced trail builders. Trail building is strenuous work that requires working in small groups to accomplish big things. It is extremely satisfying to apply your energy and imagination to produce a sustainable singletrack trail!
About trail maintenance sessions
Trail work sessions involve a variety of tasks, including:
- clearing brush
- grubbing organics
- extracting stumps
- moving rocks
- finding dirt
- filling holes
- carrying lumber

Come prepared to trail work sessions, make sure to bring:
- Water
- work gloves
- sturdy footwear
- clothes appropriate for the weather, bugs and getting dirty.
We have lots of tools (and usually cookies, too)!
